Confirmation login error on the mobile app
When you try to login into CoinGecko, you may get an error that says "You have to confirm your email address before continuing" on the CoinGecko website or "Check your inbox" on the CoinGecko mobile app.
An error like this would mean that you have not confirmed yourself as the owner of the email that you are using.
Here are ways to resolve it both on the web and app.
On the web,
- In order to trigger a confirmation email into your inbox, you can visit https://www.coingecko.com/account/confirmation/new?locale=en , enter your email address and submit the form.
- You will get a confirmation email in your inbox in which you will need to click the link there to confirm the account.
- Upon confirming, you will be able to use the account on CoinGecko.
On the app,
- Login into the mobile app with the email and password.
- When prompted with the page "Check your inbox", tap the link at the bottom that says "Didn't receive confirmation instructions?"
- You will be asked to enter your email address in a web popup. Enter your email address.
- You will get a confirmation email in your inbox in which you will need to click the link there to confirm the account.
- Upon confirming, you will be able to use the account on CoinGecko.
