CoinGecko strives to be a platform where users can browse the latest prices of cryptocurrencies and web3-related content in an inclusive and respectful environment.
As a platform operating in a decentralized space, we take a firm stance against content that could hinder the positive development of the industry. We cannot list projects that contain explicit, inappropriate or illegal content. These guidelines prohibit the use of the following:
Inappropriate Project Names
CoinGecko prohibits project names that are offensive, derogatory, or explicit. Names that imply or promote illegal activities that could potentially harm communities are strictly prohibited.
Explicit or Sensitive Content
CoinGecko excludes content that is explicit, violent, hateful, or discriminatory. This includes content unsuitable for a general audience, such as graphic descriptions or images, hate speech, slander, bullying, and racial slurs.
Illegal Use of Copyrights
Project names and symbols cannot infringe on the trademarks or copyrights of existing companies, brands, events, figures or individuals. This includes logos, designs, and even names that are too similar to established trademarks.
Event of Non-Compliance
In the event of non-compliance with the above conditions, CoinGecko reserves the right to not list, delist, or rename project names or symbols to comply with moderation standards. Appeals for tokens to be re-listed will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
