We understand that it may be frustrating to not have your token listed on CoinGecko, but there may be several reasons why your token application has been rejected.
CoinGecko reserves the rights to publish or unpublish any listed cryptoasset, ICO, or exchange on our site without prior notice if we feel that any of the presented information is inaccurate in any way.
At CoinGecko, we evaluate each token listing using an internal set of criteria which includes liquidity, team presence, project maturity as well as several other evaluation factors that are undisclosed. These are potential indicators to where your token may have not passed the evaluation criteria:
- Limited Cryptoasset Presence: The crypto asset must be listed on at least one active exchange where CoinGecko has integrated. Projects traded only on self-serviceable centralized/decentralized exchanges may be rejected due to security concerns and lack of liquidity. Other concerns, surrounding the area of liquidity, volume, and social media sentiment that indicate a lack of organic attention for the project will result in the application being rejected.
- Insufficient Information on Cryptoasset - Your website did not provide adequate information about the purpose, team, or social media profiles associated with the cryptoasset being listed. A working, functional website with comprehensive details about the project is essential for evaluation.
- Trademark Infringement / Inappropriate Content - CoinGecko enforces a strict policy against projects that infringe upon the use of registered trademarks. Projects that infringes on other's trademark or consists of inappropriate content will not be considered for listing. Please note that applications rejected for trademark infringement or inappropriate content are considered final and cannot be appealed.
- Impersonations / Ticker or Name Conflict - The use of other individuals name without consent or authorization is strictly prohibited.
- Malicious Application / Missing submitter's role - To increase the efficiency of the evaluation process and reduce irrelevant submissions, it is requested that you provide proof of your affiliation with the official team. For more information on this guideline, please refer to this article.
- Smart Contract Issues - If your token is suspected to have smart contract risks potentially malicious to users, your listing application will be rejected.
- Duplicated / Spam Request - Repeated submissions on the identical token will be marked as spam.
In the meantime, your token may already be listed on GeckoTerminal. Please click on geckoterminal.com and enter the respective contract address to track the price on chain.
❌ What NOT to do during listing submissions:
- Do not submit Incomplete submissions without full disclosure or complete information of the project.
- Repeated submissions on CoinGecko request form will be marked as spam.
- Once you've applied, we have received your token listing information, so there's no need to keep pestering us. If your token meets our listing criterias, our team will handle the listing process accordingly.
Failing to comply with the above guidelines may result in the token submission being flagged, suspended or blacklisted by our team. Please note that the above criterias are not exhaustive and we reserve the rights to list cryptoassets at our discretion. If your token is not listed after 2 weeks of applying, it is likely that the project did not pass our listing evaluation.
