Why Are Newer Projects Listed Before Mine?

It can be frustrating to see newer projects successfully listed on CoinGecko while your application is still pending. This happens because every submission is strictly evaluated against an internal set of criteria (which we do not publicly disclose). If a newly submitted project clearly and immediately meets all of our data and market requirements, it may be approved and listed faster than older submissions.

The Evaluation Process

Review Timeline 

Once you submit your application through our Request Form (see [How to List a New Cryptocurrency on CoinGecko]), our operations team typically evaluates it within 5 days.

The Trading Prerequisite 

Your token must be actively trading on an exchange tracked by CoinGecko at the time of your application. If our team checks your token and there is no active trading data, your request will automatically fail (unless you specifically submitted a specialized Preview Listing request).

Because of this strict requirement, we highly recommend that you wait to apply until after your project is fully live and actively trading on a supported exchange.

Important Listing Guidelines

To ensure your project remains eligible for a listing, please keep the following in mind:

• Do Not Spam: Please do not encourage your community to flood our channels with "When list?" inquiries. If we receive repeated spam campaigns regarding a specific project, that coin or token will be disqualified and will not be listed.
• The 2-Week Rule: If your token has not been listed two weeks after your submission date, it is highly likely that your project did not pass our internal evaluation criteria.
